Koala Lou and Louis Play The Djembe.

On Wednesday Koala Lou and Louis and our class went to the gym and played the drums with an African man named Fule Badoa. The drum we played was called a djembe. The top of the Djembe is made out of goat skin. The bottom of the djembe is made out of a special kind of wood. Our favourite part was playing the djembe. It made a lot of loud noise.

Check out our Great Barrier Reef!

Hi Mrs. Sawyer's class,

We are haveing a openhouse on Thursday night. It is about other county's and we are Australia. On that night we need to make sure that our class should look like Australia and it does. We have the great barrier reef and the forest and the city and the outback of Australia and some of the animals in Australia are in the great barrier reef and the forest and the outback and in the city we have buildings. We get to be tour guids and there are 3 types of times for how long we can be tour guids. Then we are free to go to any county in the school.

Windmills

Hi grade 2s and Maple,

Yestrday we had Scientist in the school. We had some activities about wind and water. I will tell you guys 1 activity. It was about windmills. We made windmills there. There was 5 colours of paper Blue,Pink,Green,Yellow and white. The peace of papers was for the place where the wind blows. And we used toilet paper rolls to stand them up. And when you blow the paper part it would move quickly. I learned that Windmills make Energy for lights, computers and other stuff.

Hi Mrs. Sawyer's class and maple

Yesterday we had scientist in the school. We learned about water and wind. My group was in a very fun group. We made water wheels out of Styrofoam plates. After we were don we tested them by putting it on a stick and pouring water on the water wheel and the water wheel moved. We learned how to make water wheels and that they grind weet into flour. We had a lot of fun and I hope they come back next year.
